This journal is about the Twilight Saga and my own views on it. If you’re a hard core fan, bear in mind that I’m not a fan, so maybe you’ll read things which you may not like.

We’ve all asked this question and I’m sure most of the time we haven’t gotten an answer… well, you’re not gonna find ithere but maybe you can identify with some of it.  I didn’t really know what to write about so I started writing what I was thinking and it developed into something I really liked, maybe just because it’s 100% ranting.

It was a much needed writing therapy.

There are a lot of cafeterias in Puerto Rico, but not a lot of cafés. You can find a few Starbucks Coffee shops in the Metropolitan (north-east) area, but that’s a two-and-a-half hour’s trip from the west part of Puerto Rico, especially if you live in Cabo Rojo, which lies on the southwestern corner of the island. Owner Wilmer Ramírez Aguilar says he and his wife, Evelyn Zapata, picked this town specifically because there was nothing like it anywhere near. “I was the ideal place,” he added. And that’s exactly where you’ll find Friend’s Café, -or just “Friend’s” like the frequent clients call it-  a two-and-a-half-year old franchise that offers a new and refreshing style to locals and non-locals alike.

Remembering the September 11 attacks in 2001 made me think about how events like these bring people together. That day, my 9^th grade teachers didn’t want to tell us anything about it. They whispered and looked horrified and scared so I knew they we’re talking about something serious. They told us and then dismissed the class. I remember going to one of my friends and hugging her because we were both worried about a friend of us that lived in New York City. It makes sense to me that in times like these people start taking things seriously and not for granted. At the same time, though, it doesn’t make sense. Why should only after these kind of events should we get closer to people? Why not be close to people all the time and be grateful for them all the time? The same thing happens when a loved one dies. It is only after they are dead that we realize how important that person was to us and how much we love them.

I said in my previous journal entry that life’s too short to be worrying about how bad things are. Now I add that life’s too short to be angry at somebody, to hate somebody, to bicker about someone’s attitude or to keep saying how you don’t like this or that person for whatever reason. The truth is nobody’s perfect and there’s always going to be something you don’t like about everybody; even about the person you love the most. So let’s not waste our time in concentrating about how bad things are and how we don’t like certain people and let’s accept the goodness in everybody as best we can. I know the state of things in general would be better this way.
